Seek and Destroy had a blast. This is our second time at this field, and it was even better than we remembered. I love the fact that a good gun fight is just around the corner at all times, rather than having to trek 2 billion miles into the woods to find 4 enemies. So thank you to all the local teams and players that continue to support Kevin and ABP throughout the year, keeping him up and running! Chris Ninenow from Port City Militia did a fantastic job this weekend! He was active in communicating with us and our brother teams from Virginia, got a feel for our strengths and weaknesses and really made good use of everyone! We look forward to getting on the field with PCM again in the (*near*) future! Thanks to the Teams and Players from the Hidden for playing so hard. Great effort, ressiliant gunfighting! I'd run next to any of ya'll anyday! With the kind of aggressiveness we saw this weekend, I'd say East Coast Teams are some of the most viscious in the country! Big thanks to those players and teams from the Knowing that played hard, and played aggressive! Special thanks to our brothers in arms from Virginia, SOVA and SSK! The comradery was amazing, and while I had hoped would be the case, I was truly surprised at how well we were able to work as a well oiled machine! P.S. Wow. What a weekend!
I hope everyone got home safe. Many things stood out to me this weekend but the greatest for me was seeing the Knowing operate as a single cohesive unit all weekend long. SOVA, SSK, S&D, Fracture, THC, PCM, Wilmington and ABP Locals alike. Great job meshing together as a side. It was a honor working with you all and in some cases against you. (Sunday)
To Greenman and the Hidden you all fought hard all weekend long. As I learned this weekend generaling is not an easy thing to do. You guys stuck with it and never gave up. Nothing but props to everyone on the Hidden.
Now to the good stuff!
David's insane helicopter drop!!!!
So its about 2pm Sat, missions are running, radios are going crazy. When I receive a report of an incoming dragon rider with troops. We setup a defense in our base as they break the wood line and enter our base. I figured they were trying use a scare tactic and fly through the middle to get us jumpy. Boy was I wrong.
They cornered up on the netting about 20 feet from our base right in the open. Everyone is going crazy, were not sure what there doing yet. Then I hear the count down begin....
I scream aim at their ankles as I knew once the count got to 1 what would happen. I didn't see this coming at all at the time but what they were doing was BRILLIANT. They formed a human shield and put the demo guy in the back with the satchel charge.
Right after one, on the count the human shields took the hits and the demo guy got the throw off. Time seemed to stop for me at this point. The throw was perfect. Nice and high and it was right on target coming right at me....
However Willow from SOVA, our DEMO guy read the play before anyone knew what was happening. He had prepositioned himself between the CP and the dragon riders. So when that throw happened Willow jumped up and batted the satchel down blowing himself and everyone else up around him BUT saved the CP!!!
WOW. Brass balls doesn't even come close to what Section 8 pulled off! As far as I'm concerned you guys DID score. Epic Epic Epic!
Finding the oracle. I've seen alot of different things when it comes to props. However I've never seen one buried before... It took the Knowing 30 minutes to figure out that the only thing in the area where the oracle cup was to be found via our oracle quest map was a shovel and a map... Which I saw but thought nothing of it. Along with many other players...
Then it took me several deaths / re spawns before a SSK member came up to me and said "Hey there's a map and a shovel over there!"
Right then it clicked. Before you knew it we moved the line forward and 5 players started digging with their hands and the shovel. After a couple minutes we had obtained the cup. The entire time both sides were fighting for this area over the Oracle cup. This was a fun mission.
I want to thank Adventure Beach staff and Shadow Group for the effort they put into this game. Kevin as always, thanks for looking out for the players and coming up with new and wild things for the sides to fight over!
Special thanks to Deadbox apparel, and Pbuprising.com for your continued support.
See you all in MPP Charleston next month!

Epic Certainly about sums it up. Its so nice to drive so far to a game and not be disappointed in the least. Kevin I just want to say you and your organization run an awesome field, you all are really out there for the players and want to have a fun and exciting time. To mirror on Nienow, I would have never expected to have to dig up someones field to find an objective...way to be original and make the story come to life...I wish more games were as well thought out as this one was. Props and hats off to your production crew!!!
Knowing what can I say, we rocked out last weekend and had a blast out there!!! A big thanks to all your hard work and dedication...first time ive ever seen a three way MVT, but lemme tell you, had I been in Nienow's shoes I would have had to have done the same thing!!!
Hidden, couldnt ask for a more honorable and determined opponet...when things got tough for you, you just kept fighting, no whining no cheating or sour attitudes. You all really brought things back to our door step on day two and lets face it....we had a good butt kickin comin...glad you delivered!!!
AWESOME game all. Avalon's Fury Hopes to see more of all of you thru 2010!!!

Hell of an event...Me and the guys from The Hardest Challenge had a great time playing for both the Knowing (Sat) and the Hidden (Sun). It really isn't about who's winning, it's about how everyone fights the fight. And like Rockstar said, we had some pretty classy competition out there. There were also some shady players out there (you know who you are) but overall is was a great weekend of swapping paint. Can't wait til next year's sequel

Haven't had a chance to hit the pictures but I will shortly. I'll keep this brief since I'm busy and I know Aldva our captain will post up later.
Wanted to shout out to everyone out there. Staff, Hidden, Knowing and everyone else who took the time to be on the field to support friends/family/loved ones while they played. Awesome event. This was my first time at the field, and let me say I fell in love with the field instantly. It has a great balance of woods, open ground, and an awesome city.
To my Knowing peeps, I loved rolling with you guys. Most of us play together as is, for the ones I didn't know.. It was an honor! I hope everyone had as much fun as I did. I'll be seeing you again shortly somewhere, sometime.
To the Hidden, you guys brought it. It was pure gridlock for most of the event everywhere I was at. It was all I could do to keep my unit and the people I was rolling with, alive and to keep you guys at bay. You never quit! It was awesome! I never had a chance to breathe easy, and that made it so much fun.
Section 8, with your Dragon to the CP to blow it with a satchel. As far as I'm concerned, and Nienow said the same thing, you guys got the kill points in my book! It took tungsten balls to do what you did. I've had to do that before and I know what it's like to get mowed down. Hats off to you guys!
Also to Greenman and his leadership, excellent catch-22 tactics in stealing the Oracle and then preventing me from being able to kill you and steal the prop, by bunkering inside the CP. Smart smart! I didn't get a chance to pull the Archer mission off because of that, and at the same time I loved the ingenuity behind it.
Looking forward to the next part of this trilogy!

Sorry to be so long to follow up after such a great game. The older I get the longer it takes to get over such a butt kicking. And make no mistake, a butt kicking is what we got all day, Sat. anyway. HEY, but it is all good. There was no mistaking that SSK, SOVA, PCM, Fracture ( I think) and all the other guys on the side of the Knowing came out with their "A" game. I have the impact bruises to prove it. AS always, APB, Kevin and his staff went above and beyond to provide a fun filled day. This may be the furthest I travel to play in the state but you can always count on a good time at this field.
As for the game, I don't really know much of what went on Sat. I was stationed in the north part of the field with a small group. I was running and hiding their all day.Our count was 9 when the game started. I do remember two encounters with the PCM around Mythgar. It is always fun when you know who you are firing at, or who is firing at you as was the case. All I know was every time I turned a corner, there was several guys just " knowing" they were going to get me.
Sunday went a bit better, I think some realignment of the teams helped to make it a more even match that I am sure all enjoyed.
I was impressed by the quality of play and sportsmanship shown throughout both days. To my embarrassment, I think I was the only guy that made a ass of himself by flying off the handle, I trust I will be forgiven. I did hear repeated comments of " good shot" or "well played" echoing around different fire fights. I think this is the sign of a quality player, one that can be eliminated and still recognize the skill of his opposition. On Sunday I managed to get behind 3-4 players from I believe SSK just across the road in the middle of the field beside the Pine trees and the pond. Yes , I was the guys that shot you all in the back. As I was running back to my "hide" I believe I heard all comment positively on the play. This certainly shows a high caliber of player.
As always, I look forward to returning to"Da Beach" and playing again. Thanks to Kevin for all he did for my group and thanks to all that attended for another fun weekend. Hats off to all of the "Knowing"for a great game. You guys be in touch about that other thing we talked about.

BRWP 136 Adventure Beach Paintball brwp.net Our field correspondent Jason "Foolybear" Lineberger rucked up to the "Road to No Ends" 24 hour paintball scenario event in early February. He submitted these interviews and audio clips throughout the game. POD CAST RADIO media.libsyn.com/media/brwp/BRWP136.mp3Kevin While at the game, I recorded audio for Blast Radius Woodsball Podcast. The episode is up, if you'd like to check it out. This show has a pretty broad listenership. Foolybear www.brwp.net/index.php?post_id=580848
